Success Story: Helping Out Another Homeowner

We were recently contacted for help by a very frustrated homeowner in a Vancouver high-rise condo that had suffered water-damage from above (all too common, unfortunately).

The restoration work had taken far too long from their perspective and they had reason to be worried about the quality (or lack thereof) of the work. They realized they really needed an Advocate.

Although they were actually an innocent victim in this process, they had to continually provide access to trades and others – leaving work and interrupting their lives – not to mention their own worries about mold and other issues. This proved to be extremely frustrating, especially as they also realized they didn’t know enough about the insurance claim and restoration process. This began to put a huge amount of stress on their lives.

They were only too happy to pay for our professional services and hand this problem off, so they could try to get their lives back. Each time they were unhappy, it became easy to just email us to intervene when needed.

This was not constantly needed, especially after Glenn’s on-site meeting with all the stakeholders. All parties left feeling like they were on the same page and, most importantly, this left the homeowners feeling EMPOWRED instead of feeling like a victim.

Who do YOU know who is needlessly battling over such an issue and may not know there is someone they can turn to when needed to de-stress and begin to love their home again?!

If you or someone you know find yourself in a similar situation, please contact us at Duxbury & Associates, so we can help remedy the situation and put your mind at ease!
