Reflecting on my participation in the HAVAN Homebuyers Forum

My main takeaway and experience from speaking on the Education Panel at the 25th Annual HAVAN Homebuyer’s Forum was that the entire evening was a big success. Despite the poor weather, the event was well-attended and there was also a large online audience watching the event as well.

In a great exchange of questions and answers, I was able to share/reveal how I had started out 18 years ago, as just a home inspector, but have since developed my skills and areas of expertise to include things like: home, property and building consultant, expert witness, quality-assurance professional, author of two eBooks, go-to expert people turn to, while also doing warranty checks on new homes and stratas, helping lawyers and their clients regarding construction litigation issues, MEP surveys, commissioning new homes and properties and writing BIG Reports.

Here is a quote from a realtor i have worked with in the past, who attended the event:

I thought the forum was worthwhile and a good overview for all.  It certainly gave insight into various aspects of home purchasing for first-time buyers. I shared the information you sent with some of my first-time buyer clients and brought another realtor with me, so a small name recognition benefit for you too!”

I received lots of positive feedback after my session and met many new potential clients as well as some past clients of ours who had attended. All in all, it was a fantastic night!
