Spring Reminders!

Change Smoke Alarm Batteries Every 6 Months: Batteries in Smoke Alarms and Carbon Monoxide (C.O.) detectors should be changed every 6 months. It good rule-of-thumb to change them at them same time as we change our clocks. Functional smokes alarms save lives! So if you have forgotten to change the batteries PLEASE do it right now!

Please note: Smoke Alarms should be replaced if they are older than 10 years; Carbon Monoxide (C.O.) Detectors should be replaced every 5 years.

Welcome to “Love Your Home”

I want to focus this month on the important system that covers your head, that’s right YOUR ROOF! The roof is a vital part of any home but unfortunately it often gets forgotten and neglected. Every roof covering has a life span, at which point you will need to repair or replace it.

If you wait too long to replace a worn and leaky roof it can damage the underlying elements. Water leaking into your home can damage your ceiling, walls and your beloved belongings; costing you a fortune in repairs; not to mention the stressful process of filing insurance claims. In order to avoid this unfortunate situation please see my feature article “Will Your Roof Last Another Year?”.

Spring Condition Check Spring Condition Check

Don’t assume that the condition your home was in last fall will be exactly the same in the spring. A barrage of rain, wind, ice, hail and snow can wreak havoc on a home, and especially on its roofing materials. So it is highly recommended to get an annual inspection to ensure that winter has not left you with any nasty surprises. Our services include a comprehensive Spring Condition Check, inspecting your entire roof for storm damage and leaks, including roof shingles, flashings, eaves troughs and gutters.

We offer detailed inspection reports and provide you with peace of mind!
